Spore Updates

The third phase of Spore is called the tribal phase. Your creatures have now become so intelligent that they will start working together as a tribel. You no longer control a single creature, but instead a whole tribe of creatures.

But you have to watch out, shortly after other species will also have evolved enough to start the tribal phase, and they might not be friendly. You no longer collect DNA, but instead food that allows you to buy new creatures (maximum amount of creatures in the tribe will increase when you start controlling other tribes).

Your tribe will have a little village where you can build different types of houses. These houses will give your creature the ability to get equipment for harvesting more food, fighting other creatures or entertain other tribes with instruments. In total there are nine different houses you can build, three hostile for weapons, three neutral for food harvesting and healing and three friendly for instruments.

You can choose to either destroy the other tribes by killing all the creatures, or impress them with your music so they become your allies. The process of fighting or impressing them is quite simple.

The Spore Tribal Phase is very influenced by Real-time strategy like Warcraft 3, where you use your creatures to collect the resource food, buy buildings and new creatures and either fight or become friends with the other tribes. You can also equip your creatures with simple clothing, in a simple version of the creature creator. This means hats, shoulderpads and backpacks.

When you have accomplished the task of exterminating or become allied with all the other tribes, you will go further and start the civilization age.
